What is Big Brothers Big Sisters?
With the mission to provide children facing adversity with strong, professionally supported one-to-one relationship, Big Brothers and Big Sisters has been providing mentoring services to children for more than fifty years. As the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters develops meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers and children in communities across the county. - 52% less likely to skip school*

What is Clothes For Kids’ Sake, Inc.? First founded by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Morris, Bergen, Passaic, and Sussex Counties, Clothes For Kids’ Sake, Inc. is a revenue producing 501c3 organization established with the mission to help support agencies from New Jersey and Pennsylvania. We pick-up donations of gently-used clothing, housewares, etc. from members of the community (at no cost to them) and deliver them to our neighborhood Savers’ store. The revenue from the items sold go directly to your local Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies.

Pick-Up day information

How do I pack my items? Clothing should be packed in garbage bags or boxes and labeled with BBBS. Household items should be packed in a box, labeled for BBBS. Breakable items, such as dishes, should be packed securly in boxes so nothing will break in transit. If the items are not packaged properly, our driver WILL NOT take the items. If it should rain, double bag your items and make sure to label everything BBBS.

Where do I put my donation? When you schedule with us, you must indicate where on your property you would like to leave your items. Examples are: front porch, curbside, front steps, driveway, by the garage, etc. Our drivers DO NOT go to the back of the house.

Will the driver come inside to pick up my donations? Our drivers are not permitted to enter homes. However, you can leave your items indoors if you plan to be home all day, as the pick-up window is 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

What time will my items be picked up? Our drivers arrive to your house anytime between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm. Unfortunately we are unable to give designated times since we pick-up from several towns a day. Because of this, we ask that you please place your donations outside by 7:00 am, as you may be our first stop. Again, please label your bags/boxes with BBBS so our drivers will take the correct bags.

What do I do if my donation was not picked up on the scheduled day? Call (877) 336 8828 between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm and ask for quality control. Quality control will identify the problem and reschedule your pick-up as soon as possible.

Do you pick up in bad weather? We pick up rain or shine. If driving conditions are unsafe, we will cancel and reschedule ALL our routes for that day as soon as possible.
